Transcriptomic analysis of nonylphenol effect on Saccharomyces cerevisiae

نویسندگان

چکیده

Nonylphenol (NP) is a bioaccumulative environmental estrogen that widely used as nonionic surfactant. We have previously examined short-term effects of NP on yeast cells using microarray technology. In the present study, we investigated adaptive response Saccharomyces cerevisiae BY4742 to exposure by analyzing genome-wide transcriptional profiles RNA-sequencing. 2 mg/L concentration for 40 days exposure. Gene expression analysis showed total 948 genes were differentially expressed. Of these, 834 downregulated, while 114 significantly upregulated. GO enrichment revealed 369 terms affected Further many expressed associated with oxidative phosphorylation, iron and copper acquisition, autophagy, pleiotropic drug resistance cell cycle progression related processes such DNA mismatch repair, chromosome segregation, spindle checkpoint activity, kinetochore organization. Overall, these results provide considerable information comprehensive understanding at gene level.

Transcriptomic analysis of Saccharomyces cerevisiae x Saccharomyces kudriavzevii hybrids during low temperature winemaking

BACKGROUND Although Saccharomyces cerevisiae is the most frequently isolated species in wine fermentation, and the most studied species, other species and interspecific hybrids have greatly attracted the interest of researchers in this field in the last few years, given their potential to solve new winemaking industry challenges. S. cerevisiae x S. kudriavzevii hybrids exhibit good fermentative...

Genome reprogramming in Saccharomyces cerevisiae upon nonylphenol exposure.

Bioaccumulative environmental estrogen, nonylphenol (NP; 4-nonylphenol), is widely used as a nonionic surfactant and can affect human health. Since genomes of Saccharomyces cerevisiae and higher eukaryotes share many structural and functional similarities, we investigated subcellular effects of NP on S. cerevisiae BY4742 cells by analyzing genome-wide transcriptional profiles. We examined effec...

Effect of Saccharomyces cerevisiae Association with Threonine on Productive Performance in Broilers

The aim was to evaluate the association of Saccharomyces cerevisiae (Sc) with threonine (T), in broiler diets, on performance, carcass quality and gut histomorphometric variables. One hundred Ross male broilers (1 to 43 days old) were distributed into four treatments D1: basal diet (BD), D2: BD plus 5 g Sc/kg feed, D3: BD plus 30% T and D4: D3 plus 5 g Sc/kg feed. Productive v...
